GAA National Games Development Centre
The €12 million National Centre of Excellence is located in the National Sports Campus in Dublin 15.
This project includes a total of five pitches, three full size floodlit, including a synthetic pitch and a
smaller floodlit training pitch and a state of the art hurling wall.
The pitches are serviced by a new pavilion building that accommodates ten changing rooms with
associated physio, referees, meeting rooms, dining facility and reception area.
In addition there is a covered seated spectator area for approximately 400 persons, which is fully
accessible.
The building makes use of the latest sustainable energy options to reduce the running costs on a life
cycle basis.
Project Details
Design & build sports lighting solution utilising innovative 30m shared structures between fields
including site services such as Public Lighting and CCTV. McSherry also designed a remote networked
PLC control system and the 2×700 kVA synchronised & load balanced generator solution.
